Hi! My name is Emily Shelburne and I am a junior Political Science and Global Affairs major, originally from Uganda but I now live in Abilene, Texas. I am so excited to help facilitate this course after taking it last semester! I enjoyed getting to explore topics such as gratitude, vocation, growth mindset, and seeing how they apply to my own life. I can’t wait to see how y’all make this class your own! I enjoy spending time with friends and family (being the favorite aunt), baking, traveling, and shooting film photography. For me, leaning into my “best possible self” in 5-10 years includes healthy life giving relationships, a passion/purpose that is greater than simply my own enjoyment, and gratitude for where I am in life and the journey that got me there. I’m really looking forward to the semester and getting to contribute to such a unique experience!
