Hi, I am Maureen Toner. I had the good fortune of being part of the inaugural class of the Inspired Leadership Initiative and in particular participating in a class led by Steve Reifenberg and Tom Schreier focused on designing your life. Life experiences, as well as the class, have taught me that we are all constantly designing our lives – we are never finished. Learning the skills to successfully “design” and “redesign” is a gift of a lifetime. My own professional experience includes audit, consulting and financial analysis roles as well as being a founding member of a technology startup. However, my most fulfilling role has been raising three children with my husband Jeff (ND ’84). I am a graduate of Saint Mary’s College and have an MBA from DePaul University. I am actively engaged in non-profit organizations aimed at helping youth and those with special needs. You might even catch me on CRIS radio where I provide newspaper readings for vision-impaired individuals. I look forward to facilitating the class and sharing my own experiences as we all strive to live joyful lives of purpose with attention to who we are and who we want to be.
